Your new company is a global solutions provider with sites across the UK and Ireland. They have appointed Hays to recruit a HR Generalist to join their company. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Your new role as HR Generalist includes:
- Management of human resource-related issues and acting as a strategic business partner, change agent, employee champion, and HR process/policy expert to support business strategy and objectives.
- Main point of contact for employees and managers in the business unit and a strategic partner to assigned business.
- Identifying HR needs required by the business and developing executive HR strategies to support the business strategy.
- Identifying team development gaps and facilitating team development activities to improve collaboration and team performance.
- Assessing the organisational needs of the business units and working with business leaders to change and improve the organisational structure, processes, systems, and rewards necessary to achieve the desired culture and business objectives.
- Being a HR policy and process expert and proactively working with COEs in workforce planning, talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, learning and development, and HRIS to ensure the delivery of high-impact HR services and programs.
- Conducting weekly meetings with respective business units and consulting with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analysing trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues and conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Partnering with the legal department as needed/required.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in behavioural science, human resources management or related discipline.
- Experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, continuously looking for improvements, the ability to act on problems, and seeking opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ability to clearly exchange thoughts, ideas, and messages through written, verbal, and non-verbal methods that promote understanding with the target audience.
- Creating accurate and punctual reports, sharing information and ideas with others in a timely manner.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively via phone or in person.
- Strong global & cultural awareness.
- HR expertise in talent acquisition, total rewards, learning and development, employee relations, and communication.
- Experience in building relationships and strategic alliances internally and externally.
