Your new company

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association, to recruit an Assets Officer on a temporary contract basis for a period of 3 months with the possibility of further extension.

Your new role

You will manage response repairs to a patch of housing stock. This will include:

  • Completing pre, post and void property inspections, issuing required works orders.
  • Checking and authorising invoices for work undertaken, controlling and managing costs.
  • Monitoring and reporting on expenditure against budgeted amounts.
  • Supervising works on site, authorising and accepting completed works.
  • Responding to repair complaints or requests, including follow-up actions to resolve issues.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

  • A level five qualification (e.g. HND) or above in a related discipline such as Estate Management, Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering with 18 months' relevant experience within a construction or maintenance environment, or;
  • Three years' relevant experience within a construction or maintenance environment.
