Hays are working in partnership with a local council to recruit a Data Analyst to support the Corporate Property Team. This is a newly created role, offering an exciting opportunity to play a key part in shaping the council's Corporate Asset Management Strategy.
The Role
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for improving the quality, accuracy, and usability of corporate property data. Your work will enable evidence‑based decision-making across the council's property portfolio. You will work closely with Facilities Managers, Property and Asset Management teams, and key stakeholders across Commercial, Operational, and Asset Management functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleanse, validate, and maintain corporate property and asset data
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making
- Analyse data to support the development of the new Corporate Asset Management Strategy
- Work closely with Facilities Managers and Property Asset teams to understand and improve data requirements
- Provide insights and recommendations to support operational and commercial decision-making
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst role, ideally within the public sector or asset ‑ focused environments
- Strong experience with SQL
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience creating dashboards and data visualisations
- Strong data cleansing and data quality expertise
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
