Our client is an industry-leading expert within the design, manufacture and servicing of conveyor systems.
As a Junior Electrical Engineer you will contribute to the full lifecycle of our client's projects and complete general & factory maintenance of machinery and facilities. You will provide assistance to the electrical & automation engineering team from initial concept and electrical design through to commissioning and customer handover. You will also be working closely with our mechanical design, manufacturing and install team.
Key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings to build & wire control panels
- Testing & inspecting in-house of control panels & field equipment
- Ability to fault-find using electrical schematics and background knowledge of electrical systems
- Prepare electrical documentation including BOMs, cable schedules, control panel layouts and stock checks
- Support automation engineer in R&D and project tasks
- Work with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical components
- Work within compliance of relevant industry standards, regulations and safety requirements
- Carry out factory & general maintenance including preventative maintenance for in-house machinery and equipment
- Carry out electrical installs and/or breakdowns, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of systems on-site and at client locations
- Assist in ordering/receiving goods for projects and maintaining communication with relevant departments
- Working within customer site rules and regulations and maintaining a tidy work space

What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Qualification or final stages of Level 3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in electrical engineering
- Knowledge of control panels, electrical systems & automation
- Experience of working on site (Preferable)
- Desire to learn & progress in industry career
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access)
