Your new role involves taking responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple construction and maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance, performance, and client satisfaction across all projects. You will manage contract administration, oversee operational teams and supply chain partners, monitor financial performance, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. The role will involve managing KPIs, preparing monthly reports, reviewing variations and claims, certifying invoices, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive performance across several workstreams simultaneously.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a Contracts Manager position within the construction, maintenance, property services, or facilities management sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, including NEC4 administration and compliance.
  • Experience managing contracts with annual values exceeding £2m.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial and financial management capabilities.
  • The ability to lead operational teams and subcontractors to achieve performance targets.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent NEC accreditation would be advantageous.
  • Experience delivering public sector, education, social housing, or framework contracts would also be highly desirable.
