Your new company is a leading manufacturer within the advanced engineering and materials sector, supplying high-performance solutions to global customers. With continued investment in innovation and production capability, the Portadown site is expanding its engineering team to support increased demand and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

Your new role as Manufacturing Engineer will involve driving operational excellence across the Portadown facility. You will support production teams, optimise manufacturing processes, and lead continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput. This includes analysing current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, implementing improvements, and supporting NPI activities to ensure a smooth transition from design to manufacture. You will apply Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and value-stream mapping, working closely with Quality to resolve issues and reduce defects while providing engineering support to production teams and troubleshooting equipment or process issues.

What you'll need to succeed: Ideally, you will have a Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering desirable) is preferred. A strong understanding of Lean, CI, and modern manufacturing methods is essential, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are also required.
