Your New Company

Hays are working in partnership with a well-established steel fabrication and manufacturing business based in Lurgan. Due to continued growth, the company is seeking a reliable and motivated General Operative to join their busy production team.

Your New Role

As a General Operative, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations within the workshop and yard. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to take on responsibilities which will include:

  • Assisting with steel fabrication and manufacturing processes
  • Operating basic machinery and hand tools (training provided where required)
  • Loading, unloading, and moving steel materials safely
  • Carrying out general workshop and yard duties
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site cleanliness
  • Adhering to all health & safety procedures at all times
  • Supporting skilled trades and supervisors as required

Mon - Thurs 12pm - 10.30pm

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment (advantageous but not essential)
  • A practical, hands-on approach to work
  • Good timekeeping and reliability
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to follow instructions and health & safety guidelines
  • Forklift licence or experience (desirable but not essential)
