An established and highly respected manufacturer in the Portadown area is seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join its growing production team. Known for delivering high-quality engineered products to customers across the UK and Ireland, this company invests heavily in its workforce, equipment and continuous improvement initiatives. Due to continued growth and increased demand, an opportunity has arisen for a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join their modern manufacturing facility.
As a Fabricator / Welder, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of a range of steel components and assemblies, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards. Working from engineering drawings, you will play a key role in delivering products on time.
Responsibilities:- Fabricate and assemble components from engineering drawings
- Carry out MIG welding to a high standard
- Measure, mark out and prepare materials for fabrication
- Use workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet project deadlines
- Previous experience in a Fabricator / Welder role
- Strong MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Time-served apprenticeship or relevant fabrication/welding qualification desirable
