An innovative and globally recognised manufacturing organisation is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its expanding engineering team in Banbridge. Your new role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems for complex, high-value products. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to projects from initial concept through to production and certification.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing electrical systems, wiring schematics, and harnesses
- Producing detailed technical documentation and engineering drawings
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and design for manufacture (DFM)
- Collaborating with mechanical design, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Conducting testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations
- Supporting continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the design team
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in electrical design within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Proficiency in electrical CAD or schematic design tools
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and integration
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams
