Your new role involves managing a team of 6, supporting the site with new and improvement projects to deliver future growth and improvement intentions. The scope of the role includes:
- Develop & Implement strategy for this department and lead the team
- Manage electrical and automation projects to improve current performance and align with growth projections
- Drive the team toward KPI delivery and success around efficiency and project success and corrective actions
- Project planning in line with budgets
- Drive positive culture and collaboration in the team
- Communicate with strength and clarity across the team, other departments and stakeholders
- Manage technical specifications
- Contribute to project and capital expenditure proposals
- Coordinate projects, installations, commissioning activities
- Facilitate training to upskill the team and drive efficiency
- Operate within company and ISO standards
What you’ll need to succeed: A methodical approach to projects and problem-solving, along with the ability to communicate and lead a team efficiently, are key skills for this role. Ideally, you will hold the following:
- Degree in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering OR time served to HNC/HND level and relatable experience
- CAD skills
- Good knowledge of electrical control systems (PLC's, SCADA, HV Distribution)
- Strong project delivery experience
- Leadership skills
