Your new company An established and growing construction business based in Portadown is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join its pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented writer who can develop compelling submissions that help secure major projects across both public and private closely with senior management, estimators and operational teams, you will take ownership of the bid process, producing high-quality tender responses that clearly demonstrate the organisation's capability, experience and value proposition. This role offers the chance to play a key part in the continued growth and success of a respected contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering projects throughout the UK and Ireland. Your new role You will manage the production of bid and tender submissions from initial qualification through to final submission, ensuring all documents are completed to a high standard and within strict deadlines. You will gather information from internal stakeholders, develop engaging written content, maintain a library of bid documentation and continually improve the quality and effectiveness of responsibilities include: Writing and coordinating winning PQQ, SQ and tender submissions. Collaborating with technical, commercial and operational teams to obtain relevant information. Reviewing client requirements and ensuring submissions are fully compliant. Managing bid documentation and maintaining content libraries. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the bid function. What you'll need to succeed You will be a confident and organised Bid Writer with excellent written communication skills and a strong attention to detail. Previous experience preparing successful bids within construction, engineering, infrastructure or a related sector will be highly should possess: Proven experience producing high-quality tender and bid submissions. Excellent written, editing and proofreading skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. The ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
