Your new company Hays are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly successful agri-food business for an Assistant Hatchery Manager to join their is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with experience in poultry, agriculture, livestock, food production or a related environment to take the next step in their career.
The successful candidate will join a fast-paced operation and play a key role in ensuring the efficient running of hatchery activities while maintaining the highest standards of welfare, biosecurity and operational performance.
Your new role Reporting to the Hatchery Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of hatchery operations, ensuring that eggs are processed efficiently through incubation to chick dispatch.
Monitoring and maintaining high standards of hygiene, welfare and biosecurity.
Maintaining accurate production records and performance data.
Providing out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rota.
What you'll need to succeed Essential Full valid driving licence.
Flexible approach to working hours and participation in an on-call rota.
Desirable
Previous experience within poultry production, hatchery operations, agriculture, farming or livestock management.
Basic mechanical aptitude and maintenance knowledge.
Good IT skills and computer literacy.
