They design and deliver bespoke systems that transform critical infrastructure for clients worldwide. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team at Cookstown.
Your new role involves playing a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions for water and wastewater projects. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from initial specification through to commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and liaising with suppliers to ensure excellence at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:- Design mechanical systems for water/wastewater projects to client specifications.
- Produce P&IDs using Plant 3D and coordinate 3D models in Revit.
- Create general arrangement drawings, sections, elevations, and fabrication details.
- Prepare pump calculations, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and technical input.
- Attend project design and site meetings, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
- Work closely with process, electrical, and ICA engineers on integrated solutions.
- Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent).
- 4 years' experience in mechanical design within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling software (Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks).
- Strong fabrication design experience and innovative approach.
- Familiarity with AEC software (Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks).
- Experience in water industry M&E projects.
- Knowledge of ISO19650 BIM standards and commercial aspects of M&E works.
