Your new role Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the accounting function for the largest division within the group. This is a varied and fast-paced role offering significant responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to financial strategy and operational efficiency.
- Preparation and interpretation of monthly management accounts
- Completion of VAT returns and all year-end processes
- Managing day-to-day accounting activities including sales and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations (multi-currency), credit control and stock accounting
- Implementing and enhancing financial controls and best practice processes
- Supporting foreign exchange activities and managing currency exposure
- Cashflow forecasting and management
- Supervising and supporting junior finance team members
- Producing monthly management reports, including key KPIs within strict deadlines
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes
What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you will bring:
- Essential: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualified experience (industry or practice)
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 200 and advanced Excel skills
- Experience working in a multi-currency environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- High attention to detail with a proactive and flexible approach
- Desirable: Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Knowledge of tax compliance
