Our client, a highly regarded national law firm, is looking to recruit a NQ-5 PQE Solicitor to join their Complex Claims Insurance team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, collaborative environment handling a varied and interesting caseload of Defendant Insurance matters, with a focus on Employers' and Public Liability claims. You will be trusted with a high level of responsibility, contributing to departmental growth while delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal advice to insurer and corporate clients.

Your new role

This Complex Injury Solicitor role will see you:

  • Managing and/or assisting on a varied caseload of Defendant Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims, including injury, liability, contractual and indemnity issues.
  • Providing clear, practical written and verbal advice to clients and insurers.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and other key litigation documents.
  • Conducting legal research and financial liability assessments.
  • Representing clients at hearings or liaising with counsel where appropriate.
  • Managing files efficiently to ensure profitability, compliance and achievement of KPI targets.
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing positively to wider team objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, procedural and internal business requirements.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and departmental planning.
  • Building strong client and stakeholder relationships and supporting business development activity.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer (NQ - 5 years PQE).
  • Strong, demonstrable experience of Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims.
  • Sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and insurance litigation processes.
