Your new company HAYS Building Services is excited to partner with one of the province's top main contractors to recruit an MEP Commercial Manager for their Pre-Construction team. This role has been created due to sustained growth and a surge of exciting projects across the UK.
As the MEP Commercial Manager you will handle Pre-Construction MEP Estimating, collaborating closely with clients, other disciplines, and teams from project inception. You will be accountable for all financial and estimating aspects of MEP tender bids, ensuring competitive and well-resourced tender costs and quality submissions.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Degree qualified or Mechanical/Electrical trade
- Prior experience in MEP estimating for large-scale construction projects i.e. Healthcare, Pharma, and Data Centres.
- Sound Commercial Awareness
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- High level organisational skills
- Excellent presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating complex information to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent numerical, IT and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to work on initiative with minimum supervision
- Good knowledge of construction contracts, particularly the JCT & NEC Forms of Contract
- Good understanding of building accreditation standards
