Due to new production lines opening, our client has a requirement for Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers, working a rotating 12-hour shift pattern across days, nights and weekends to support planned and reactive maintenance across their Coleraine manufacturing site. Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Complying with Health and Safety Policies to ensure safety first
- Responsible for Electrical and Mechanical maintenance, including preventative maintenance and breakdowns
- Delivering all maintenance within mandatory and statutory Health & Safety obligations
- Working with Production shift managers and production teams to ensure plant efficiency targets are met
- Ensuring all food safety standards are adhered to during any maintenance activity
- Maintaining material stock levels, including booking out of spare parts
- Responsible for contractors while working on site
- Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping in all engineering areas
- Involvement in new installations and projects as required
- Developing and updating work instruction sheets and risk assessments.
In order to be successful in this role, our client is looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in a similar role and environment. These include:
- Time-served multi-skilled engineer with mechanical and electrical experience
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline (e.g., BTEC National Certificate/Diploma)
- Ability to rapidly identify root causes of efficiency problems and develop alternative solutions
- Computer literate
- Logical and well-organised
- Effective communicator at all levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Knowledge, awareness, and appreciation of Health & Safety.
For working a continental shift pattern this role offers a market-leading salary of ~£54500. The benefits package also includes pension up to 10%, an enhanced OT rate, life assurance and a benefits platform offering discounts and cashback on major retailers.
