Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a prominent engineering consultancy based in Northern Ireland, seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join their team in Lisburn. This role involves working on exciting new projects across Northern Ireland. The company\βs services span both the private and public sectors, including designing and build projects in areas such as Education, Retail, Industrial, Residential, Leisure, and Infrastructure. Your new role The Civil Engineering Technician role will be responsible for providing technical support to engineers on construction projects. The candidate is required to be proficient in AutoCAD and 3D design packages such as PDS, Microdrainage, and Civil 3D. The candidate will be responsible for preparing road and drainage design packages and general arrangements drawings for civil engineering projects. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to assist with topographical surveys on sites as required, to help aid the design phase. What you\βll need to succeed To qualify for the Civil Engineering Technician role, you must have a minimum of HNC / HND Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) with experience in civil and structural engineering. Candidates with no HNC or HND qualification would still be eligible to apply provided they have 5 years\β experience working in a Civil or Structural Engineering Company. You must also be proficient in AutoCAD, 3D design packages such as Civils 3D, PDS and addition to the technical qualifications, you must possess good oral and written communication skills, be a team player, have excellent organisational skills and initiative in problem-solving.
