Your new company is a well-established organisation with a strong national presence seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join its busy Head Office Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a stable business operating within a professional, collaborative environment.
Your new role involves working within a large finance department, playing a key role in supporting monthly and annual accounting processes. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and is looking to develop a long-term career in finance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting, organising and preparing financial information for use by the accounting team
- Accurate electronic data entry using Microsoft Office applications
- Managing high volumes of documentation, including scanning, filing and maintaining orderly records
- Supporting the preparation of information for corporation tax analysis
- Handling and distributing incoming and internal post for the department
- Communicating with multiple business locations via telephone and email
- Providing administrative support for capital expenditure processes
- Assisting colleagues with a variety of wider finance and administrative tasks
What you will need to succeed:
- A professional, well-presented approach and willingness to work within a finance/accounting team
- Ideally, strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Confident communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
