As a Transport Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day coordination of transport and waste collection operations. Working closely with drivers, customers and the Transport Manager, you will ensure smooth and compliant operations across the fleet.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Transport Planning & Coordination
  • Liaising with customers, drivers and the Transport Manager
  • Monitoring vehicle movements and resolving delays or disruptions
  • Driver Administration
  • Maintaining driver records, licences, CPC qualifications and training documentation
  • Monitoring driver hours and supporting compliance with regulations
  • Managing digi card downloads and reporting
  • Completing weekly driver debriefs
  • Compliance & Record Keeping
  • Maintaining accurate transport documentation and records
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed and filed correctly
  • Supporting compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
  • Assisting with audits
  • Vehicle & Fleet Administration
  • Scheduling servicing, MOTs, inspections and maintenance
  • Monitoring vehicle defects and arranging prompt repairs
  • Managing vehicle changes on the Operator's Licence

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with transport management systems
  • Knowledge of transport compliance (desirable)
  • Full clean driving licence and access to your own transport
