Your new company Hays Belfast are recruiting on behalf of a Belfast-based contractor helping them in their search of a Working Site Supervisor. Your new employer offers a wide range of building services. Their expertise spans residential properties and small commercial projects. They handle everything from contemporary extensions and refurbishments to traditional finishes. They specialise in small to medium-sized contracts, working with clients like Education and Library Boards, Health Trusts, Housing Associations, and private property developers.

Your new role involves being a skilled and experienced Working Site Supervisor to join their workforce. The successful candidate will be involved in diverse projects across Northern Ireland ranging in value up to £400k. The responsibilities of this role will be as follows:

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, senior management, clients and subcontractors.
  • Complete all work to the highest of standards and to the agreed specifications of private clients.
  • Ensure work is completed within timeframe and budget.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Act as the representative for the contractor on site, handling and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Coordinate joinery tasks in line with project & client priorities.
  • Ensure there are adequate materials & resources available for projects to be completed successfully.

What you need to succeed: To be considered for this role you will need to have experience of working at a similar level on similarly styled projects across sectors such as residential, fit out and building. You will need to come from a joinery background and have valid tickets associated with being on site (NVQ Lvl 3 and above). The successful applicant will need to be able to work on their own initiative to deal with any issues that may arise on projects while being an excellent communicator to allow projects to run smoothly, often liaising with senior management and clients throughout.
