Your new role
As a Site / Section Engineer, you will take responsibility for key engineering functions across multiple water and wastewater upgrade projects. You will work closely with the site management team to ensure all works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements. Your duties will include:
- Setting out, surveying and maintaining precise site records
- Managing drawings, documentation and material schedules
- Supervising direct labour and subcontractors
- Monitoring progress and ensuring full Health & Safety compliance
- Conducting quality checks, material testing and instrument calibration
- Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting the Project Manager with day-to-day construction delivery
- Maintaining a detailed site diary and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
You will be organised, proactive and eager to develop, working alongside an experienced engineering team who will support your progression.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you should demonstrate:
- Experience in a Site Engineer or Section Engineer position
- A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret drawings and use surveying equipment such as Total Station and GPS
- Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating site operations
- A proactive, problem-solving approach with strong planning abilities
- CSR/SAFEPASS/CSCS certification and relevant H&S induction training
- Flexibility to travel to sites across Northern Ireland
