Your new company Hays are working with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service to recruit a temporary Service Administrator. Known for its commitment to professionalism, community impact and operational excellence, this organisation offers a supportive and collaborative working environment where administrative professionals play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.

Your new role As a Service Delivery Administrator, you will provide a high-quality, customer-focused administrative service to support operational and business functions. This is a varied and fast-paced role where you will be at the heart of the team, ensuring key processes run. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing diaries, coordinating meetings and providing minute-taking support
  • Maintaining electronic and paper records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Acting as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting financial processes including procurement, expenses and stock control
  • Updating systems (including staff rotas, leave and operational data)
  • Preparing reports, presentations and official documentation
  • Supporting HR-related administration such as attendance management and personnel records
  • Assisting with project work and continuous improvement of administrative processes

This role requires excellent organisation and the ability to prioritise competing demands in a busy environment.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced administrative or business support role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

You will ideally have a relevant qualification (e.g. Business Administration) or equivalent experience, along with a proven track record in delivering high-quality administrative support.

What you'll get in return Competitive hourly rate of Β£16.88 per hour, 36.25 hours per week, Based Belfast City Centre, 6 months possible extension.
