Senior Payroll Administrator - Part Time Your New Company A well-established and growing Northern Ireland business operating within a specialist services sector is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join its finance team.

Your New Role As Senior Payroll Administrator, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across both weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and HMRC duties will include: Processing weekly and monthly payrolls, including new starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, SPP, and pension auto-enrolment.

Managing payroll and time & attendance queries within strict payroll deadlines.

Creating and processing BACS payment files and ensuring all approvals are completed within required timescales.

Submitting payroll returns, pension contributions, and statutory payments accurately and on time.

Completing year-end payroll processes, including P11D reporting.

Maintaining up-to-date payroll records and ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation.

Acting as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries.

Performing payroll reconciliations and supporting the finance team with payroll reporting and analysis.

Collaborating closely with HR regarding employee-related payroll matters.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and payroll system enhancements.

Processing PAYE, National Insurance, pension-related activities, and associated payroll administration.

What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered for this position, you will have: A minimum of two years' experience within a high-volume, computerised payroll environment.

Experience processing both weekly and monthly payrolls from start to finish.

Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, statutory payments, and HMRC requirements.

Excellent IT skills, including payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.

Previous experience with Sage payroll software would be advantageous.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with colleagues across multiple departments.

A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work independently.

Previous experience using NTD software would be beneficial but is not essential.
