Your new company is one of Northern Ireland's leading Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractors seeking an experienced MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. With over 40 years of experience, the company delivers design, installation and commissioning services across healthcare, education, commercial, hospitality, residential and industrial sectors throughout Northern Ireland and GB. Due to a growing portfolio of secured projects, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the commercial delivery of major projects.
Your new role as MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor will involve the commercial management of mechanical and electrical building services projects from procurement through to final account. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of multiple MEP projects
- Preparing and submitting valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs, budgets and cash flow
- Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
- Reviewing contracts and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Liaising with project teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Producing regular commercial reports for senior management
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with financial targets
What you'll need to succeed:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Proven experience in an MEP, Mechanical or Electrical Quantity Surveying role
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management
- Experience managing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Full UK driving licence
