As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and play a pivotal role in maintaining our machinery and ensuring operational excellence. This position offers an excellent chance to enhance your technical skills within a dynamic international organisation. Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements, and modifications to plant and services.
- Minimise downtime and maintain equipment in optimal condition.
In order to be considered for this role you will need to display the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship as a mechanical or mechatronic engineer, and preferably educated to HNC or equivalent level.
- Minimum of 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing background.
- Proficient in the maintenance of mechanical systems: pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, vacuum systems, mechanical drives / gearboxes.
- Experience in planned, preventative maintenance.
- Experience in fault diagnosis in mechanical systems and equipment.
- Preferred experience in equipment installation.
- Preferred experience in fabrication and pipe fitting.
- Preferred experience of predictive maintenance techniques, such as vibrational analysis.
