Your new company is one of Northern Ireland's leading Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractors seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join its growing delivery team. With over 40 years of experience, the company provides design, installation and commissioning services across a diverse portfolio of projects within the healthcare, education, commercial, hospitality, residential and industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and progressive contractor.
Your new role as Mechanical Contracts Manager involves overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical packages on a variety of projects, primarily based in Northern Ireland. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing mechanical works from pre-construction through to handover
- Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Monitoring project progress, costs, programmes and quality standards
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Attending site meetings and liaising with clients and consultants
- Supporting procurement and programme planning
- Providing technical input and resolving on-site issues
- Reporting regularly to senior management on project performance
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience in mechanical contracts management or project management
- Experience managing mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Strong commercial awareness, including experience monitoring costs, programme and procurement
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficient IT skills with strong reporting capabilities
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally
