Your new company is a long-established building services consultancy seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team. With over two decades of experience, this firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical design solutions across private sector clients, including commercial, retail, industrial, residential, and hospitality. Operating under an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) model, this consultancy fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture where every team member plays a role in shaping the future of the business. This role offers a 4-day working week, providing greater flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining full-time pay and benefits.
Your new role includes:
- Design and specification of sustainable and cost-effective mechanical systems
- Site visits for appraisals, surveys, and condition reports
- Ensuring mechanical systems meet performance, efficiency, and regulatory standards
- Preparation of technical documentation including schedules, drawings, and reports
- HVAC system design, domestic water services, and drainage layouts
- Delivery of high-quality work with strong attention to detail
What you will need to succeed:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in mechanical building services design, either with a consultancy or contractor
- Proficiency in MEP Revit and CAD
- Level 4 qualification in a building services or mechanical engineering-related discipline
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative team player
- Full UK Driving Licence
