Your new company is a well-established and growing business based in Belfast seeking a Management Accountant to join its experienced finance team. This organisation has enjoyed significant growth in recent years and operates across multiple divisions, offering a varied and commercially focused accounting role within a supportive and collaborative environment. Your new role involves playing a key role in the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing valuable insights to support business decisions. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and review of monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple business divisions.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and quarterly reforecast processes.
  • Producing meaningful management information and financial analysis for budget holders and senior management.
  • Monitoring revenue streams and ensuring accurate allocation of costs.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to finance processes, reporting and controls.
  • Supporting statutory audit requirements and maintaining strong financial governance.
  • Preparing financial reports and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Reviewing financial performance, identifying trends and making recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Working closely with operational stakeholders to help achieve financial and commercial objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will be an ambitious finance professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business.
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and commercial decision support.
  • AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or be actively studying towards one).
