Your new company is one of Northern Ireland's leading Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractors seeking a Junior Mechanical Contracts Manager to join its growing delivery team. With over 40 years of experience, the company provides design, installation and commissioning services across a diverse portfolio of projects within the healthcare, education, commercial, hospitality, residential and industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious mechanical professional looking to progress their career within a well-established and progressive contractor.
Your new role involves supporting the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion. This role would suit an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor, Foreman, Site Manager or Site Engineer looking to move into Contracts Management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the management of mechanical projects across multiple sites
- Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting procurement activities and project programmes
- Monitoring project progress, costs, quality and health & safety standards
- Attending site meetings and carrying out regular site visits
- Assisting with project reporting and commercial tracking
- Supporting the resolution of technical and site-related issues
- Helping to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
What you'll need to succeed:
- HVAC trades background or HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
- Experience in a mechanical supervisory, site management or site foreman role
- Good understanding of mechanical building services installations and project delivery
- Ability to coordinate operatives, subcontractors and site activities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
