This is a newly created senior leadership opportunity within a purpose-driven organisation undergoing significant development and role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, lead multiple corporate functions, and play a key role in shaping organisational performance, governance, and financial sustainability.
Your new role Leading and developing high-performing teams across finance, performance, procurement and risk.
Driving a culture of business partnering, accountability and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Overseeing budget setting, financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes.
Ensuring timely production of management and statutory accounts alongside robust financial controls.
Providing financial insight, business cases and investment appraisals to support strategic decision-making.
Developing long-term financial plans and supporting organisational sustainability initiatives.
Managing organisational performance frameworks, compliance reporting and risk management activities.
Overseeing procurement activity, contract governance and commercial best practice.
Supporting strategic planning processes through the alignment of financial and operational objectives.
Leading engagement with auditors, sponsoring bodies and other key stakeholders.
Presenting financial and performance information to senior leadership and governance committees.
Driving improvements in systems, policies, controls and corporate processes.
Leading on audit recommendations and ensuring effective corporate governance arrangements.
Supporting organisational change projects and deputising for the Director when required.
What you'll need to succeed Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) Substantial post-qualified experience within a large, complex organisation Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary professional teams.
Strong expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and audit.
Experience presenting complex financial information to Executive Teams, Boards or Senior Leadership groups.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
A track record of driving organisational improvement, governance and performance outcomes.
Experience building strong relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
