Your new role Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of the finance function's day-to-day operations while providing strategic financial leadership across the business. Leading the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, financial commentary, and KPI reporting. * Managing budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes. * Taking ownership of month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls. * Supporting group reporting requirements, audit processes, and statutory accounts preparation. * Managing cash flow forecasting, treasury activities, and financial performance analysis. * Overseeing payroll, tax compliance, and transactional finance activities. * Leading and developing a high-performing finance team through coaching and mentorship. * Supporting major projects, grant reporting, and stakeholder engagement across multiple departments. This is a highly visible role that combines hands-on financial management with strategic business partnering and offers an excellent platform for progression. What you'll need to succeed To be considered, you will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with significant post-qualified experience gained within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, technology, or project-led environment. Proven experience leading month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls. * Strong technical accounting knowledge including statutory reporting and audit management. * Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders. * Experience managing and developing finance teams. * Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities. * Previous exposure to grant funding, project accounting, R&D environments, or multi-entity reporting would be advantageous.
