You will be part of a highly respected water and environmental team, working on impactful projects that support communities and protect critical resources.
Your new role
As a Flood Risk Management Consultant, you will play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of flood risk and water environment projects. You will be involved in projects from initial concept through to detailed design and delivery, supporting public and private sector clients. Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking flood risk assessments (FRAs) and hydraulic modelling
- Supporting the design and development of flood alleviation schemes
- Working on catchment management and nature-based solutions
- Preparing technical reports and liaising with stakeholders
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and environmental disciplines
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a related discipline
- Experience in flood risk management, hydrology, or hydraulic modelling
- Knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM or similar)
- Understanding of UK/Ireland flood risk policy and regulations
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills
- Working towards (or already achieved) professional chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent)
