As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the finance function and play a central role in delivering accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, and commercial support to the wider business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Overseeing financial reporting for the Republic of Ireland entity
- Coordinating year-end statutory accounts and audit
- Managing and supporting the Accounts Administrator
- Ensuring the smooth running of sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers
- Overseeing month-end close activities
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll administration
- Pension processing
- Payment preparation through BACS and FPS
- VAT compliance and statutory reporting across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including Intrastate submissions
- Overseeing credit control activities
- Supporting internal systems and IT processes
- Producing KPI and supplier performance reports
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Assisting with stock management, contract administration, and internal project tracking processes
You will be an experienced finance professional, either fully qualified or qualified by experience, with a strong background in management accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Working across both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland jurisdictions, particularly regarding payroll, VAT, and statutory requirements, would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will possess strong systems experience, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities within a busy environment. Previous experience managing or mentoring finance staff, alongside exposure to wider business operations, would be beneficial. You should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
