Your new company is a well-established and reputable manufacturing organisation based in Lisburn seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a skilled workforce within a modern fabrication environment, supporting high-quality production and continuous improvement.
Your new role involves overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring fabrication projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards. You will lead a team of fabricators and welders, coordinating workloads and maintaining strong operational responsibilities which will include:
- Supervising daily fabrication and welding activities
- Allocating workloads and coordinating team tasks
- Monitoring the use of welding equipment, hand tools and machinery
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure work meets specifications
- Promoting and enforcing health & safety standards across the workshop
- Supporting and developing team members through training and guidance
- Working closely with production and project teams to meet deadlines
- Maintaining accurate production records and reporting
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous supervisory experience within fabrication or manufacturing
- Strong hands-on experience in welding and fabrication processes
- Knowledge of sheet metal work and assembly techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good problem-solving ability and mechanical awareness
- Excellent communication skills and team-focused approach
