Your new company is a leading advanced manufacturing organisation with a strong global presence seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its growing team at a state-of-the-art facility in outer Belfast. Your new role involves developing and optimising manufacturing processes for complex components. You will support production operations, introduce new technologies, and drive efficiency improvements across various processes including surface treatments, bonding, painting, and more. Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and improving manufacturing methods to enhance quality and efficiency
- Designing and specifying tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- Leading process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting new product introduction and change management processes
- Defining manufacturing process flows and supporting layout optimisation
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, BOMs, and procedures
- Providing technical support across production, quality, and supply chain teams
- Supporting customer requirements and responding to technical queries
- Assisting with training operators on new or updated processes
- Driving innovation and implementing new technologies where appropriate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- HNC/HND (Level 3 or above) in Mechanical Engineering or similar (degree desirable)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a regulated or high-quality environment
- Experience in at least one of the following processes: surface treatments, bonding, painting, assembly, or automated processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with familiarity in tools such as 8D or structured root cause analysis
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience, 33 days annual leave, a generous pension scheme above the standard, life assurance (4x salary), free onsite parking, and access to an employee benefits and discount platform.
