Your new company HAYS Architecture & Design are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing off-site construction and manufacturing specialist in their search for an experienced CAD Designer to join their Lisburn-based team. Your new role As an experienced CAD Designer, you will play a key role in the technical design and delivery of timber frame systems, working closely with internal design, production and project teams. You will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, developing detailed design packages and ensuring all information is suitable for manufacturing and on-site installation. This role will see you coordinating with architects, engineers and clients to translate design intent into practical, buildable solutions, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail throughout. You will also support the preparation of production information, including layouts, schedules and documentation required for efficient manufacture.
What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrable experience working as a CAD Designer or Technician within a construction, timber frame or manufacturing environment. You will possess strong technical drawing capabilities, with proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software, and a solid understanding of construction detailing. Experience working closely with production or workshop teams is highly beneficial, alongside the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
