Your new company is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with an established presence across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth within their Belfast office, they are seeking an Engineer to join their expanding Development Infrastructure team. Working alongside experienced engineers, environmental specialists and planners, you will play a key role in delivering drainage and flood risk solutions for a wide range of development projects including residential, commercial, industrial, retail and mixed-use schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer or environmental professional looking to develop their technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment.
Your new role involves supporting the delivery of drainage and flood risk projects from initial planning through to detailed design and construction stages. Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing drainage designs for development and infrastructure planning applications through technical assessments and flood risk and drainage hydraulic calculations and drainage technical reports.
- Engineering closely with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary project teams.
What you'll need to succeed: Applicants may come from a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography or related discipline. You should have:
- Approximately 3 years' post-graduate experience within drainage, flood risk, civil engineering or infrastructure supporting planning applications.
- Technical report-writing of drainage design principles.
- Communication and stakeholder management skills to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with drainage software such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow or similar would be advantageous.
