Your new company is a long-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure, energy and engineering projects across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth within their Renewables division, they are seeking Electrical Project Managers to support the delivery of renewable energy developments, battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid connection projects and power infrastructure schemes associated with major data centre developments.

Your new role involves managing the successful delivery of renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects from feasibility through to commissioning and handover. You will work closely with clients, contractors, network operators and multidisciplinary engineering teams, overseeing programme, commercial and technical aspects of projects while ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Travel is typically limited to 1-2 trips per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage renewable energy, battery storage and electrical infrastructure projects through all stages of delivery.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and resource requirements.
- Oversee project risks and ensure successful delivery against key milestones.
- Liaise with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), utility providers and key stakeholders regarding grid connection applications and approvals.
- Manage HV electrical works and associated power infrastructure projects.
- Support client engagement and maintain strong working relationships throughout project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and quality standards.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Experience delivering renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, power generation or battery storage projects.
- Understanding of HV electrical systems, substations and grid connections.
- Experience working within a consultancy or contractor environment.
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Degree, HND/HNC or apprenticeship in an electrical or engineering discipline.
- Equivalent experience within the power, utilities, infrastructure or renewable energy sectors.
Desirable:
- Experience with BESS, renewable energy or data centre power infrastructure projects.
- Professional membership, chartered status or project management qualifications.
