Your new company is a long-established building services consultancy seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team. With over two decades of experience, this firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical design solutions across private sector clients, including commercial, retail, industrial, residential, and hospitality. Operating under an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) model, this consultancy fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture where every team member plays a role in shaping the future of the business. This role offers a 4-day working week, providing greater flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining full-time pay and benefits.

Your new role includes:

  • Design and specification of sustainable and cost-effective electrical building services systems
  • Site visits for appraisals, surveys, and condition reports
  • Ensuring electrical systems meet performance, efficiency, and regulatory standards
  • Preparation of technical documentation including calculations, schedules, drawings, and reports
  • Design of power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, data and communication systems
  • Delivery of high-quality work with strong attention to detail
  • Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and other design team members throughout project delivery
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers (Senior Engineer level)

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical building services design, either with a consultancy or contractor
  • Open to both Intermediate and Senior Electrical Engineers
  • Proficiency in MEP Revit and CAD
  • Level 4 qualification in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborative team player
  • Full UK Driving Licence
