Your new company is a leading and highly successful FMCG organisation seeking to appoint an Administrator / Customer Planner to join its busy team. This organisation works with a portfolio of well-known consumer brands and prides itself on delivering exceptional service to customers across the retail and wholesale sectors. Operating within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the company offers employees the opportunity to play a key role in supporting both customer operations and front-of-house activities.

Your new role as Administrator / Customer Planner involves:

  • Processing customer orders and ensuring a smooth flow of communication between customers, sales teams, logistics partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, supporting the day-to-day running of the office and creating a welcoming professional environment.

Key duties will include:

  • Processing customer and sample orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaising with logistics providers, customers and sales representatives to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Responding to customer enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Preparing daily and weekly order reports.
  • Managing loading sheet administration and supporting order fulfilment processes.
  • Processing credit note requests and obtaining supporting documentation and approvals.
  • Providing general administrative support across the business.
  • Supporting management and sales teams within a small, close-knit administration function.
  • Managing incoming calls, meeting and greeting visitors, and coordinating hospitality requirements.
  • Organising meeting rooms and supporting company events and activities.
  • Coordinating travel and accommodation bookings as required.
  • Assisting with the organisation of office events and employee engagement activities.
  • Ensuring office facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained and operating effectively.
  • Supporting the overall upkeep and presentation of the office environment.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within order processing, customer planning or a similar administration role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Experience using ERP systems or order processing software.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  • Previous FMCG, retail or wholesale sector experience would be advantageous.
