A well-established utilities organisation is seeking a Customer Advisor to join its Customer Services team. Operating across a regulated environment, the organisation is committed to delivering high standards of customer service, safety, and operational excellence.
Due to continued operational requirements, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced customer-focused professional to support customers and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.
As Customer Advisor, you will act as a key point of contact for customers, providing support via telephone and email whilst ensuring an excellent customer experience. You will play an important role in coordinating appointments, scheduling maintenance and connection activities, processing documentation, handling customer enquiries and complaints, and maintaining accurate records across company systems. This position combines customer service excellence with strong administrative and organisational responsibilities.
- Handling inbound and outbound customer calls, emails, and service requests
- Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues efficiently and professionally
- Coordinating appointments with customers, contractors, and field operatives
- Planning and scheduling maintenance and connection activities using internal systems
- Processing certification, service documentation, and customer records accurately
- Handling customer complaints and escalating complex matters where required
- Updating multiple databases and maintaining accurate customer information
- Supporting emergency response processes through accurate data collection and record management
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced customer service professional with strong administrative capabilities and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths
- At least three years' experience within a contact centre or customer-facing environment handling high volumes of customer interactions
- At least three years' administrative experience, including call handling responsibilities
- Excellent IT and data entry skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable experience includes:
- Experience using diary management or appointment scheduling systems
- Experience maintaining and updating high volumes of data across multiple systems
- Previous complaint handling experience
- Exposure to regulated or compliance-led environments
- Experience coordinating appointments with operational or field-based teams
