Your new role involves taking on a key technical leadership position within the ground engineering team. You will lead the delivery and technical development of complex geotechnical projects across a range of sectors including major infrastructure, energy and transportation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical leadership and oversight on major geotechnical and ground engineering projects
- Leading and reviewing geotechnical design including foundations, earthworks, slopes and soil-structure interaction
- Acting as a senior technical authority and supporting best practice across multidisciplinary teams
- Managing and mentoring a team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists
- Supporting business development activities, bids and client engagement
- Delivering high-quality technical reports, designs and project outputs
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, developing technical capability and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.
What you'll need to succeed:
- A strong academic background in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering or a related discipline (MSc/PhD desirable)
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
- Extensive experience in geotechnical analysis, design and delivery of major infrastructure projects
- Proven track record of leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock engineering and geotechnical modelling tools (e.g. PLAXIS, FLAC)
- Experience in client-facing roles with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A passion for technical excellence, innovation and mentoring others
