As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of daily warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Storing materials in designated locations to maintain an organised warehouse
- Assisting with stock control, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy
- Supporting stock rotation and maintaining housekeeping standards
- Preparing and labelling shipments
- Loading goods onto vehicles safely and in line with delivery schedules
- Adhering to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised work area
- Using equipment safely and responsibly
- Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, shrink wrappers, and forklifts (where trained and authorised)
- Completing paperwork and digital records accurately, including delivery notes, stock movements, and inventory updates
- Working closely with warehouse colleagues, drivers, and other departments to meet daily targets
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
What You Need to Succeed:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential)
- Physically fit and capable of lifting/moving heavy items
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- A proactive, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Desirable:
- Valid forklift licence
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or M&E environments
- Familiarity with stock control systems
