Your new role
As the Surface Finish Supervisor, you will lead the paint and shot-blasting teams to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Your role will focus on people leadership, workflow planning and maintaining production deadlines. You will manage daily briefings, coordinate resource allocation, support recruitment and training, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in ensuring quality compliance, upholding housekeeping standards and embedding strong health and safety behaviours across the department.
What you will need to succeed
You will have proven experience in a supervisory or team-lead role within a manufacturing, fabrication, coating or blasting environment. Strong communication skills, the ability to motivate teams and confidence in managing performance are essential. You will be well-organised, able to prioritise effectively and comfortable working to tight production schedules. A solid understanding of health and safety requirements in an industrial setting is important, along with basic IT proficiency. Experience with industrial coatings, blasting standards, lean principles or IOSH certification would be highly beneficial.
