Your new company Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation to recruit a Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced health and safety professional to take ownership of SHE strategy and performance within a fast-paced operational environment, driving positive culture change and continuous improvement across the business.
Your new role Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for leading, developing and continuously improving the organisation's Safety, Health & Environmental Management System while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and best will work closely with managers and operational teams to embed a proactive safety culture, reduce risk and support sustainable business duties will include: Ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation.
Driving a positive SHE culture through visible leadership, coaching and engagement. Supporting risk assessments, hazard identification and implementation of control measures. Conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews. Developing and delivering SHE training and awareness programmes. Supporting environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives and waste reduction activities. Monitoring and reporting on SHE performance metrics and improvement plans. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent recognised qualification.
Previous experience in a Safety, Health & Environmental leadership position within a manufacturing or operational environment. Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
