Your new role involves:
- Liaising with 3rd party vendors in support of projects.
- Supporting prototyping for new projects considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
- Creating relevant documentation, such as Test Plans and Reports for electrical testing of seats.
- Supporting customer meetings as required.
- Providing end to end support on an electrical basis throughout the lifecycle of projects.
- Supporting the Engineering team to achieve key milestone dates and work with internal stakeholders to assist with production investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build and test issues.
- Supporting change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis and implementation.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Hold a relevant Degree/Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a minimum of 2 years working in an engineering environment.
- Previous experience with one of the design software packages such as AutoCad, Pro E, Solidworks, Catia etc.
- Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers, manufacturing, suppliers and production.
- Results driven with a can-do attitude to ensure solutions.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
Desirable:
- Experience of Electrical Design within a design and manufacturing environment.
- Previous 3D Harness routing or Pipe routing experience.
- Previous experience writing test plans/reports.
