Your new company is a well-established and growing engineering services business seeking an Operations Assistant to join its busy operations team on an initial maternity cover contract. Your new role involves playing a key role in the day-to-day coordination of engineers and service activities, ensuring works are delivered efficiently and customers receive an excellent level of service. Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and scheduling engineers for service, maintenance, installation and repair works.
- Managing customer enquiries and providing updates on job progress.
- Processing service reports and completion documentation.
- Monitoring outstanding jobs and ensuring work is progressed in a timely manner.
- Coordinating compliance requirements, including AccessNI applications and site-specific vetting.
- Maintaining accurate records within the job management system.
- Supporting operational processes to ensure high standards of service delivery.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in an Operations Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Scheduler or similar administrative role.
- Experience coordinating field-based engineers or mobile workforces.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience using scheduling or job management software.
- Experience within an engineering, maintenance, facilities management or technical services environment would be advantageous.
