The multi-skilled engineer will ensure that production targets are met using the appropriate technical/engineer support in the correction, prevention and elimination of technical/engineering problems. Through continuous improvement techniques, enhance equipment performance and reliability; this may include coaching and developing technical skills and knowledge in others. You will also be involved in the management of installation projects and contractor management during site visits.
Core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Installation work to include management of contractors
- Repairs and maintenance of machinery and vehicles
- Energy monitoring using BMS software
- Actively participate in fault-finding / re-engineering of plant and equipment to ensure continuous improvement of all operations
- Implementation of Preventative Maintenance schedules and completing associated Work Management documentation
- Carry out statutory inspections
- Working with Mechanical and Electrical Systems
- Support in spare part management and stock control
- Providing callout support
- Any other reasonable duties as required
In order to be considered for this role you will need to display the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Essential:
- Must be Time/Skill-Served Electrically & Mechanically with Electrical Bias
- Must have an Electrical & Mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to diagnose and solve problems
- Fault-finding experience on automated machinery
- Must be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Sound reasoning ability
- Use of computer to include Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to organise time
- 17th/18th Edition certificate
Desirable:
- Previous maintenance experience within food/agri/FMCG environments
This role offers a very attractive working pattern that runs Monday - Friday on days. Your standard working pattern will consist of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 07:00 - 15:30 + Wednesday 07:00 - 14:30. This fantastic shift pattern is underpinned by a competitive salary up to £42500 and benefits package.
