Your new company is a well-established food manufacturing business in the Armagh area seeking a Technical Manager to join its leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious technical professional looking to take the next step in their career and gain valuable leadership experience within a fast-paced production environment. The business is committed to maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and compliance, making this an ideal role for someone keen to develop their technical expertise while influencing site-wide performance.
Your new role involves playing a key role in leading the site's technical function, ensuring food safety, quality and compliance standards are maintained and continuously improved. You will work closely with production and operational teams, support audit readiness, oversee quality systems and drive a positive food safety culture. This role offers excellent exposure to customer requirements, technical standards and continuous improvement initiatives. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership capabilities while gaining hands-on experience managing technical systems, supporting audits and helping to shape the future direction of the technical department. This position is particularly well suited to an experienced Technical Supervisor, QA Manager or Assistant Technical Manager looking to progress into a Technical Manager role.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in a Technical, Quality or Food Safety role in food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems and compliance standards
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining site standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Leadership potential with the ambition to develop a long-term career in Technical Management
- Ability to work collaboratively across production, quality and operational teams
